Mutton Gravy - Quick Method

  • 1 lb Mutton 
  • 2 - bay leaves
  • 2 - cloves
  • 2 small sticks - cinnamon
  • 1 - star anise
  • 2 onions - sliced
  • 1 tomato - chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon of Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon of garam masala
  • 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped cilantro handful
  1. Wash the mutton with turmeric powder and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in pressure cooker, add bay leaves,cloves, cinnamon and star anise.
  3. Add onions and  ginger garlic paste and saute till it becomes translucent.
  4. Add tomatoes, cook till it turned to soft. 
  5. Add Mutton pieces, chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and salt with 2 cup of water and mix well.
  6. Put some cilantro, then increase the flame and close the cooker with its lid.
  7. When the steam comes out from the pressure cooker put the weight on the lid and wait for 6-7 whistle, then turn off the flame.
  8. Keep the pressure cooker aside for some minutes until all the steam settles down.
  9. Open the pressure cooker lid, increase the flame and cook, till it became thick consistency, then garnish it with cilantro. Serve hot with Jeera rice.

  2. hmmm.. dont tempt me with this.. I cant eat nonveg for the next few weeks..:( fasting.... :((((
