Pepper Chicken Gravy

  • 1/2 kg of chicken
  • 2 small bay leaf
  • 1 tsp whole garam masala
  • 2 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 2 tsp of ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp of chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp of ground pepper
  • 1 tsp of cumin seed powder
  • 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Cilantro for garnishing


  1. Wash the chicken with turmeric powder, set aside.
  2. Heat oil in pan. Add bay leaf and whole garam spices.
  3. Add onion, saute till it turn to brown colour.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste, saute for few minutes. Add tomato, fry until it becomes soft.
  5. Add chicken,chilli powder, cumin seed, half cup of water and salt. Mix and cook for 5 minutes over medium flame.
  6. Now add the ground pepper, close the lid and cook until the chicken cooked well.
  7. Finally, garnish it with cilantro. Serve with any rice varieties, roti, paratha.
