Panipuri | Gol Gappa

For making Puri:
1/2 cup Sooji / Rava
4 tbsp of Maida / All purpose flour
A pinch of Baking Powder
2 tbsp of oil
Salt to taste

For making Potato filling
1 cup of Boiled potato (cubed)
1/2 tsp of chilli powder
1/4 tsp of Amchur powder
1/2 cup of chopped Cilantro
Salt to taste

For making Tamarind water:
Tamarind (Small lemon size)
1 cup of water
1/2 tsp of cumin seed powder
1/2 tsp of crushed powder
3 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of Amchur powder.
Salt to taste


1. Combine all the ingredients mentioned under Puri in mixing bowl, add little water and knead until dough consistency.
2. Take small portion from the dough and roll it using rolling pin.
3. Use circle cookie cutter or bottle lid and press on the rolled dough.
4. Heat oil in pan and deep fry the small disc until it turn to golden brown colour and remove the excess oil using paper tissue.
5. Take the boiled potatoes in small bowl. Add all the ingredients and mix well. (Filling ready )
6. Soak the tamarind in a cup of water for an hour and extract the tamarind pulp. Add all other ingredients and mix well.

How to Serve:

Take a puri and make a small hole in the centre of it using thumb finger. put some potato filling in it and dip or add two spoon of tamarind water in it. Enjoy it.
